Aurora Salmon Centre is Lerøy Aurora’s visitor centre at latitude 70˚ N in Skjervøy in Northern Norway.

Aurora Salmon Centre is an important part of Lerøy Aurora AS’s concept of teaching visitors about aquaculture. This concept consists of a visitor centre combined with visiting an authentic salmon farm and our processing facility. All components are situated in Skjervøy municipality.

The centre has a unique profile inspired by the Northern Lights and the topography of the mountains surrounding the municipal administrative centre Skjervøy.

Our exhibitions are designed with a modern, high-tech and artistic expression. There is also a separate arena for our youngest visitors.

We want to share our knowledge about aquaculture and the important role it plays for the local area. We will also convey the history of the developments in the fisheries industry in this region from the Second World War up to the present day. The historical aspects are designed in collaboration with the Nord-Troms Museum. We recommend you visit the museum’s exhibition and other exhibitions in the region.

The visitor centre and experience concept are open to the public year-round. We will take you on a unique journey from the past via the present to the future, indoors as well as outdoors.

The centre is currently the world’s northernmost visitor centre for aquaculture!
